CHAINSAW CITY

Master Chief Ryan Regis Roe is a Southern California native. He graduated High School in 1994 and joined the Navy in October 1995 attending Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL. Originally trained as a Builder in the Seabees in Gulfport, MS, Master Chief Roe reported in June 1996 to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Five, and made deployments to Okinawa, Puerto Rico, Vieques, the Azores Islands, Hawaii, and Cuba. He served as Supply Petty Officer, Crew Leader, Project Supervisor, and Patrol Leader during four seven-month deployments. He also qualified in Seabee Combat Warfare and as a Detachment Safety Officer. In 2000, he transferred to Naval Security Group Activity Kunia in Hawaii, as the Lead Builder assigned to a base of over 2,500. During this tour, he decided to cross-rate to Cryptologic Technician Interpretive and study Arabic at The Defense Language Institute. He went on to serve in the Navy earning numerous awards and over 20 deployments in 26 years.  He Retired from the US Navy in 2021 and started working in the golf industry as a recruiter.  Ryan is back to his Seabee roots starting Chainsaw City.
